High Maturity Concepts introduces the participant to a detailed overview on achieving business value of improved performance through use of High Maturity Concepts of CMMI Performance Solutions ecosystem (CMMI V3).
In this course, students have access to the current online version of the CMMI V3 Model. They actively participate in class discussions and exercises to build a common understanding of improvement when using Practice Areas in High Maturity Context and recognize process characteristics that meet intent of the CMMI High Maturity practices.
- Have Completed Foundations of Capability + at least one course from Building Excellence series OR Completed the Building Organizational Capability course.
- Interested in improving business performance.
- Interested in meeting CMMI V3 training & certification criteria for an Appraisal Team Member (ATM) in a High Maturity Appraisal in the CMMI Domains.
This learner objective driven course will enable participants to:
- Explain the business value of improving performance using High Maturity concepts.
- Recognize process characteristics that meet the intent and value of the High Maturity practices.
Upon successful completion* of the course, participants will get:
- Certificate of Completion.
- Meet an education criterion for serving on a CMMI appraisal team for High Maturity.
- Meet a pre-requisite for an Achieving High Maturity Course (Advancing Course).
Note:
(1) Successful completion requires participation in all course activities without missing any classroom time as well as completion of pre-course preparation and assigned homework.
(2) Fees are not refundable once a participant is provided access to the Model viewer. Exercises shall use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent.
(3) Use of laptop and internet access (for access to Model Viewer) is required.
(4) Additional requirements for Virtual Course Delivery:
- Participants to be visible (on webcam) and actively participate (using microphone) for the entire duration of the training. Participants to carry government issued ID with Photo & name.
- Setup Call shall be scheduled with all participants together to determine infrastructure feasibility & set context for the Virtual Training. Participants unable to address infrastructure issues shall not be permitted to attend training.
- Duration of Virtual Delivery training is indicative and will be adjusted to suit time zones of Instructor and Participants in the training and buffer time.
