Roles & Responsibilities Brief Job Description:

Has the overall single handed responsibility for the legal function, interaction with other functions, alignment with strategy, achievement of targets for the function. Responsible for all legal inputs, advice, implications, compliance, processes, documentation and internal/external interaction. The person should have good business acumen and aptitude for review of deals/ agreement terms from commercial angle, a person who is fast at understanding the big picture, can make out the business model from the big picture or from brief description of transaction and can come up with key commercial & risk aspects after understanding the business model.

  • Creating / Reviewing Legal Documents, including
  •  Customer and vendor Contracts, Terms and conditions, MoU’s, Strategic Alliance/ teaming agreements, RFP terms review, various registration forms’ information, legal notices etc.
  • Special focus on commercial terms and key risks.80-85% work involves customer contracts and related processes.
Skills Required
  • LLB/LLM having 2-4yrs experience
  • Must have practical exposure of contract negotiation in IT / Consulting industry. 80% of the work involves customer’s contracts review / negotiation / follow-up.
  • Should be capable of doing / verifying simple commercial calculations. We are looking for a person who understand the difference between what is material and what is insignificant, a person who can cull out possible serious problems from the mass of insignificant legalese /verbiage, a person who looks for the key risks and commercial implications in the contract rather than just dotting the ‘i’s and crossing the ‘t’s.
  • Must be good at communicating, people management and open to feedbacks and improvements.
  • Good written & verbal English communication.
